Plug for pressure testing of pipe flanges [for high pressure/neck flanges]
This is a plug that allows for isolation and pressure testing after welding to be conducted locally during the replacement work of the weld neck flange. [Maximum pressure value: 15.5 MPa]
During flange replacement work at plant piping maintenance sites, localized welding points can withstand pressure tests up to 15.5 MPa. - Localized response with a plug eliminates the need for ancillary work. - Significant reduction in labor (cost) is achieved. - Can be reused multiple times. - Localized testing allows for a reduction in the amount of medium used. This is a plug compatible with weld neck flanges. We also have high-lift flange welding test plugs compatible with slip-on types. *For more details, please download the PDF or contact us.

Applications/Examples of results
Curtis Wright Corporation/EST Division is a specialized manufacturer of pipe seal technology headquartered in the United States, handling various shapes of test plugs for high-pressure testing during pipeline and plant equipment operations. The biggest feature of these plugs is their ability to test at high pressure levels that are not available from other companies (they can be used for both hydrostatic and leak testing). DBB plugs are primarily used in flange work at plant maintenance sites both domestically and internationally.
