The ideal of the HELICOFLEX seal is to achieve surface contact with no gaps, provide metal touch for seal protection, and satisfy the leak rate while preventing over-tightening.

The "HELICOFLEX(R) Seal" is an elastic metal seal developed in collaboration with the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA). The ideal state is a strong mechanical clamping condition known as "metal touch." It seals while protecting the Helicoflex seal and preventing over-tightening.
