[Data] Titration method for total base value in petroleum products using an automatic titration device.
It also includes the main points for the maintenance of recommended devices, titration equipment, and electrodes!
This document introduces the "Titration Method for Total Acid Value in Petroleum Products Using Automatic Titration Equipment." The Total Base Number (TBN) in petroleum products is measured using the pre-programmed method "T4 TBN Back." After dissolving the sample in a specified solvent, a standard perchloric acid (PCA) reagent is added. The sample is then back-titrated to the equivalence point using an alkali titrant prepared in glacial acetic acid. The back-titration complies with ASTM D2896, providing a fast and reliable endpoint.
