Water Quality Analysis System: Purge and Trap GC-MS
Simplify daily operations with batch control of Chromeleon CDS! Rapid measurement of musty odors and VOCs without system changes.
The Purge and Trap GC-MS system is specialized for trace analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) contained in water samples. After collecting VOCs on an adsorption trap, they are rapidly desorbed and injected into the GC-MS system. By automatically pre-treating large volumes of water samples, it achieves detection limits at the ppt level, meeting domestic regulatory requirements for drinking water testing. It is compatible with the Thermo Scientific HeSaver-H2Safer option, which reduces the consumption of helium carrier gas, thus effectively lowering the running costs of analysis. The Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Chromatography Data System (CDS) allows for a series of operations from control to analysis, simplifying daily tasks. System Configuration: • Teledyne LABS Lumin Purge & Trap CONCENTRATOR and AQUATek LVA liquid autosampler • Thermo Scientific ISQ 7610 single quadrupole GC-MS system
basic information
ISQ 7610 Single Quadrupole GC-MS System • The wide dynamic range detector accommodates VOC and musty odor analysis with just a method switch. • The HeSaver-H2Safer option reduces helium carrier gas consumption by 75% compared to conventional methods, and hydrogen can also be used as an alternative carrier gas. • The unique Thermo Scientific NeverVent technology minimizes maintenance downtime and maintains high productivity. Lumin Purge & Trap and AQUATek LVA Liquid Autosampler • Reduced trap cooling time improves sample processing efficiency. • The Moisture Control System (MCS) significantly reduces moisture transfer to the GC, enhancing sensitivity and data reproducibility while extending the lifespan of the GC column. • The inert sample pathway is resistant to corrosion and reduces compound loss.
