The laser ablation (LA) system equipped with a high repetition frequency laser and a galvanometric optical system, connected to the robust Thermo Scientific iCAP PRO series ICP-OES, enables the acceleration, high precision, and expansion of elemental analysis capabilities. ■ Simplification and acceleration of elemental analysis - Sampling of solid sample surfaces through laser irradiation, followed by direct analysis with ICP-OES. - Elimination of cumbersome operations such as cleaning of equipment for traditional solution pre-treatment, and management of reagents and waste, thereby reducing costs, workload, and environmental impact. ■ Achieving sensitivity and precision equal to or greater than solution ICP-OES - Elimination of weighing errors and contamination during traditional pre-treatment, as well as interferences caused by acids or solvents during measurement, leading to higher precision. - Increased sensitivity through high-speed ablation. - Application of flexible and high-precision quantification methods, allowing for quantitative analysis even without standard samples of the same material as the sample. ■ Expansion of ICP-OES analytical capabilities - Ability to analyze a wide range of samples, including difficult-to-dissolve samples, powdered samples, and non-conductive samples. - Implementation of analysis tailored to the purpose, from localized to wide-area sampling of the sample.
