Technical Data: GC Carrier Gas Savings HeSaver H2Safer Technology

Innovative injector technology that balances the reduction of helium and hydrogen consumption with safety.

This technical note introduces a solution for reducing carrier gas consumption using the HeSaver-H2Safer technology, which can be installed on the TRACE 1600 series GC. Traditional SSL injectors faced significant challenges with gas consumption from split flow, but this technology utilizes a unique mechanism that employs nitrogen gas during sample introduction, significantly reducing helium usage. This allows for the maintenance of GC-MS performance with existing methods that use helium, while also reducing costs and supply risks. Additionally, when hydrogen is used as the carrier gas, consumption is minimized, enhancing safety. Please refer to the documentation for more details. 【Features】 ■ Significant reduction in helium consumption due to HeSaver-H2Safer technology ■ Compatible with hydrogen carriers, reducing hydrogen usage and improving safety ■ Efficient gas utilization through a unique injector operation with nitrogen switching ■ Operable while maintaining existing GC/GC-MS methods ■ Contributes to analytical performance such as column protection and improved reproducibility
