[Case Study] Issues of Defoaming Efforts, Voids, and Material Degradation

[Demo Application Available] Material modification during stirring is resolved! Stirring and degassing are completed in just a few minutes, and voids are reduced.

We would like to introduce a case study of a rotational and orbital mixer that was implemented by a printed circuit board manufacturer using silver paste in their manufacturing process. The company was previously degassing their materials under vacuum for about 30 minutes after manual stirring. However, upon using the materials after degassing, voids occurred during the printed circuit board manufacturing process. Upon investigation, it was found that most of the solvent components contained in the materials had evaporated during the vacuum degassing. As a solution, they introduced the "Awatori Nentaro ARE-310 (atmospheric pressure type)." The task that previously took 30 minutes was completed in just a few minutes, eliminating the need for constant supervision and allowing more time to be allocated to other tasks, making the process much more efficient. [Case Study] ■ Customer's Concern: The hassle of degassing and issues with voids and material degradation ■ Introduced Product: Awatori Nentaro ARE-310 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

THINKY Corporation has realized simultaneous processing of stirring and degassing through the concept of combining two types of rotation: rotation and revolution. The "Awatori Rentaro," a rotary-revolution mixer, was born as a device that can process these two opposing processes, "stirring" and "defoaming," which had long been considered separate steps in the material processing process, simultaneously and in a short time. Currently, Awatori Rentaro has grown into a diverse lineup, ranging from small tabletop models for laboratories to large-scale production models. We have received numerous inquiries from various fields both domestically and internationally. THINKY will continue to assist in solving material processing challenges and building a foundation for mass production with our unique material processing technology and know-how.
