Reiwa
In the "Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves," in "Volume Five: Thirty-Two Poems on Plum Blossoms and the Preface," it is quoted: "In the auspicious month of early spring, the air is pleasant and the wind is gentle; the plum blossoms reveal the powder before the mirror, and the orchids emit the fragrance behind the pendant." On a beautiful spring day, the new era name "Reiwa" was announced. New employees, new students, various beginnings. A fresh feeling. May this mark the beginning of a wonderful era. Thanks to you, Toki Trading has welcomed its 18th term as of today. [Staff Blog] Lunar New Year - Old New Year Toki Trading
Yesterday was the last day of the lunar calendar. Today is New Year's Day. In the Chinese-speaking world, the seven days from New Year's Eve are holidays and the most important event of the year. For me, in my 19th year in Japan, it is a melancholic seven days that makes me feel homesick. However, no matter how lonely I feel, my appetite remains the same. After returning home, I tried to make my hometown's traditional dish to celebrate New Year's Eve. Perhaps due to the different ingredients and seasonings, I couldn't quite recreate the desired taste. It looks somewhat Chinese... Speaking of New Year's Eve, instead of New Year's cards, we have WeChat (the Chinese version of LINE). Sending and receiving New Year's greetings and red envelopes through this Chinese social media platform. Last night, even at 1 AM, my phone kept ringing with messages coming one after another. I truly felt that the festive spirit of the Spring Festival is significant for the people of China, even while being in Japan. Regarding work, deadlines tend to be delayed around the Lunar New Year every year. Despite various measures taken, it has not been resolved, and I feel sorry about it. Our company sends out a notice about "delays in deadlines around the Lunar New Year" every year around October. I would appreciate it if you could check our website during this time. The upcoming Spring Festivals (Lunar New Year) will be on January 25, 2020, February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2022. Sales N
