Inorganic (Ceramic) Fiber Sheet for Thermal Insulation and Heat Resistance
Enable usage in environments up to 1600°C
These products are sheets made by adding a small amount of organic binder to various inorganic (ceramic) fibers such as rock wool, AES (alkali Earth Silicate) fiber, alumina fiber, and others. It equipped with cushioning and flexibility and can be customized to a range of thicknesses and hardness levels. * Since these products contains an organic binder, smoke or gas may be generated during initial heating.
basic information
Features 1: Excellent heat resistance By using a variety of ceramic fibers, sheets can be manufactured to heat resistance temperatures ranging from 1000°C to 1600°C. Rock wool: Up to 1000°C AES (alkali Earth Silicate) fibers: Up to 1100°C and 1300°C Alumina fibers: Up to 1600°C Features 2: Shot Amount Control By removing/reducing the shot (un-fiberized material) contained in the bulk fiber, the sheet can have a smooth surface. Features 3: processability and Flexibility Can be easily cut with scissors or a cutter. The hardness of the sheet can be controlled, making it possible to meet needs such as punching and winding properties. (Sheet thickness: 0.5–6 mm. For other sizes, please inquire. Sheet width: up to 1,260 mm) *For physical property technical data, please refer to the detailed information.

Thank you for visiting the 5th Sustainable Material Exhibition during High-Performance Material Week.
Our company exhibited at the 5th Sustainable Material Exhibition during the High-Performance Material Week held from November 12 (Wednesday) to 14 (Friday), 2025. We showcased products that create new business value, primarily featuring the cellulose fiber high-content resin "Green Chip CMF," along with non-combustible and insulating sheets, and products using natural raw materials from our group company, NichiRica. We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth. Through the display of molded products, "Green Chip CMF" effectively communicated its design and functionality, receiving positive feedback. Additionally, we received specific inquiries regarding thickness adjustments and fire resistance/insulation performance for the non-combustible and insulating sheets, along with numerous requests for sample provision. Furthermore, we exhibited existing NichiRica products along with two new development items. The development items were very well received, and we feel that the possibilities for new applications have expanded. In addition to the exhibited products, we will continue to respond to various needs by utilizing our formulation development technology, evaluation technology, and processing technology while co-creating with our customers.

In June 1914, TOMOEGAWA started its path as a pioneer of industrial specialty paper in Japan, and succeeded in domestic production of “electrical insulating paper and telecommunications paper” to meet the needs of telecommunications industry. In the 1960s, we earned a reputation as a 'Tomoegawa of Specialty Paper' by developing papers for multiple industries, with our strength in integrated production from wood pulp. Since then, TOMOEGAWA has developed "papermaking, coating, adhesive, powder" technologies and expanded its business domains to "highly functional materials." In recent years, with the spread of 5G, advanced driver assistance systems, etc., and the promotion of DX, many electronic parts require control for high voltage, high current, high frequency. TOMOEGAWA has expanded our "iCas" brand products that control "heat, electricity, and electromagnetic waves" to produce various solutions for heat, noise, etc. TOMOEGAWA has also formed “GREEN CHIP” brand, focusing on new products that contribute to the conservation of the natural environment and control of manufacturing and operating environments. In addition, we have changed our company name from TOMOEGAWA Co., Ltd., to TOMOEGAWA CORPORATION on January 1, 2024, in order to clarify the actual situation of our company and aim for sustainable corporate growth.
