Photonics West exhibition wins the Prism Awards 2019 in the field of physical and chemical lasers!
- 1.45 - 4.0 µm (2500 - 6900 cm-1) - Narrow linewidth: 2 MHz (1·10-4 cm-1) - Hands-free motor tuning - Mode-hop-free tuning range: 300 GHz (10 cm-1) - User-friendly fully digital DLC pro controller The innovative TOPO developed by TOPTICA stands out as the only fully automated CW single-resonance optical parametric oscillator laser source in the laser market. High-resolution mid-infrared spectroscopy ranging from 1.45 – 4.0 µm (2500 – 6900 cm-1) has become easier than ever.
basic information
With its ease of use and reliable performance, the CW OPO brings new solutions to challenging applications. TOPO can be used for spectral applications of molecular stretching vibrations for combustion analysis, trace gas detection, and ultra-low temperature molecular quantum technologies. Its narrow linewidth and stability make it an ideal light source for high-sensitivity techniques such as cavity ring-down spectroscopy and NICE-OHMS when combined with Toptica's frequency locking electronics. In recent years, mid-infrared photonic devices have emerged as new platforms for gas detection, nonlinear frequency conversion, and mid-infrared frequency comb generation. The wide continuous tunability of TOPO in the mid-infrared facilitates the characterization of such devices, allowing the same tools used to stabilize TOPO in macroscopic cavities to be applied to integrated photonic cavities as well. Additionally, TOPO can also serve as a core tool in laboratories for evaluating the properties of mid-infrared optical components and metamaterials.
