Tornex Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo), which manufactures and sells a variety of air curtain products including insect-proof air curtains, has developed an outdoor heat countermeasure system specifically designed for outdoor environments called "AQUA Mist Zoner." Sales will begin in May 2025. Due to the record-breaking heat in recent years, the need for heatstroke countermeasures in outdoor spaces has increased. Many outdoor environments such as event venues, amusement facilities, sports facilities, educational institution grounds, factories, and construction sites require effective cooling systems. However, conventional dry mist systems are significantly affected by outdoor winds, making it difficult to establish a defined cooling range, which has been a challenge. The "AQUA Mist Zoner," developed by Tornex Co., Ltd., is an innovative cooling system that combines a high-performance waterproof fan with mist nozzles. It enables extensive cooling that was not achievable with traditional mist systems. Thanks to a specially designed honeycomb rectifier plate, it can deliver mist up to 15 meters away, reducing the temperature by approximately 2 to 3 degrees (when the outside temperature is 31 degrees), achieving about five times the cooling area compared to devices that only spray mist.

Our company has developed the YUCACO system and airflow system, and we believed that incorporating air purifier units into this circulation path would enable more effective air purification. However, high-performance filter-type filters increased pressure loss and posed clogging issues. Since around 2017, we have made progress, installing them in the Ota model in Gunma Prefecture. Additionally, the yellow dust problem in the Kansai region has been serious, and we strongly felt the need for air purification. In spring, it is not uncommon for yellow dust to arrive, causing the sky to become hazy, which leads to issues such as being unable to hang laundry outside, thus increasing the demand for improved indoor air quality. Therefore, we were attracted to electronic dust collection filters that have low pressure loss, are easy to maintain, and consume less power, leading us to their adoption.

We have introduced a smoke separation deodorizing booth as a smoke separation measure in the store. It is installed at the back of the seating area, and customers have praised it for preventing smoke leakage. Other locations are also moving forward with its introduction. Improving the Influx of Outside Air with Air Curtains Our facility is Japan's first urban circular ropeway, which opened in April 2021 as a means of transportation connecting Sakuragicho Station and the Shinko Pier Canal Park in the Yokohama city center waterfront area. The Sakuragicho Station of the ropeway is conveniently located in front of the east exit of JR Sakuragicho Station (just a 1-minute walk away), while the Canal Park Station on the opposite side is connected to the commercial facility Yokohama World Porters via a corridor, making it a convenient location for accessing nearby tourist attractions such as Yokohama Cosmo World and the Red Brick Warehouse. To prevent the intrusion of outside air with temperature differences entering through the entrance of the Sakuragicho Station building on the second floor and the entrance to the ropeway boarding platform, we have introduced Tornex's 2-way air curtain box.

MDstand coffee&bar is a café and bar that opened on July 29, 2022, located between the commercial facility "KAMEIDO CLOCK," which was established on April 28, 2022, in Koto Ward, Kameido, and the 25-story, 2-basement apartment building "Proud Tower Kameido Cross," across from Kameido Greenway Park. The establishment is operated by the architectural firm "Frei Co., Ltd.," ensuring that the store's design, while simple, is meticulously crafted.

The oil accumulation in the machine tools and the fogging of the staff's glasses have completely disappeared. Additionally, our own staff had become accustomed to it and didn't notice, but the contractors coming in and out have remarked, "The smell of oil mist is gone!" The clean air is not discarded outside but is recirculated indoors, and since air at room temperature is constantly circulating within the machine tool storage, the interior does not become excessively hot, eliminating the need for fine temperature adjustments and preventing defects in the produced parts, which is surprising.

Looking ahead to a future beyond the COVID-19 pandemic, we aim to create "unique experiences that can only be found in Narita" that respond to the changing and diversifying values of our customers, as well as to provide performances and services aimed at the increasing inbound demand as recovery progresses. In response to the revision of the Health Promotion Act in 2020, we have updated our outdoor smoking areas by incorporating washi-style glass film, not only to reassess the smoking environment but also to ensure that visitors can experience a touch of Japanese culture. We have installed two "high-performance plasma dust collection and deodorization units VFLJP" in our outdoor smoking booths, which clear the smoke to meet the standards for indoor non-smoking areas by removing over 95% of tobacco TVOCs.
