We will present on the topic "Transition from Existing Lamps to LED from the Perspective of a Light Source Provider." We hope you can join us. Date: February 19, 2024 (Monday) 14:00 - 16:20 Location: Tokyo Tama Future Messe, Conference Room 4 Overview In recent years, due to the growing interest in energy conservation, LED lighting has increasingly replaced traditional bulbs and fluorescent lights. With the broadening wavelength range and higher output of LEDs, their applications have expanded to include traffic lights and car headlights, and they also contribute to miniaturization, lightweight design, and greater design flexibility. Additionally, compared to traditional light sources, LEDs have a longer lifespan and require less frequent replacement, significantly enhancing maintenance efficiency. Recently, the commercialization of ultraviolet LEDs has also progressed, opening up new possibilities. At this seminar, there will be a keynote speech by Professor Onuma from Kogakuin University covering the basics and history of LEDs, as well as cutting-edge LED research.
