◆Case Study of Waste Treatment and Recycling Operators The noise generated by the crushing machines for home appliances exceeded 100dB, making communication between workers impossible. Measurements of the sound sources revealed that the noise from the mill part of the crusher, the area around the feed opening, and the sound from the sorting machine's exit, along with echoes from the walls, were particularly loud. By covering the crusher with soundproof enclosures made of Poal and installing sound-absorbing panels on the nearby walls, we achieved a significant noise reduction from approximately 105dB to about 87dB.
