Processing aid masterbatch for polyolefins [PFAS-free]

PFAS-free PPA (processing aid). It suppresses melt fracture and eyeing in polyolefin film molding.

Processing aids (Polymer Processing Aids: PPA) are effective additives in the extrusion molding of polyolefin films, helping to prevent melt fracture and sharkskin, reduce die lip build-up, lower back pressure, and improve productivity. Traditionally, fluoropolymers have been the main component of processing aids. These fluoropolymers are classified as PFAS (perfluoroalkyl substances and polyfluoroalkyl compounds), and there has been recent discussion regarding the need for management and regulation of PFAS. At INGENIA, we have developed and manufactured processing aid masterbatches that do not contain fluoropolymers or silicones. This non-fluorinated processing aid MB has been highly regarded for its effectiveness and is adopted and used by many polyolefin film manufacturers.

basic information

Features of INGENIA PPA MB □ Free of fluororesin and silicone □ Melt fracture suppression effect equal to or greater than fluororesin-based PPA, prevention of eye droplet accumulation □ High transparency, sealing performance, and maintenance of friction coefficient Product Lineup of INGENIA PPA MB □ IP1171 A PFAS-free processing aid masterbatch that exhibits effects equal to or greater than fluorine-based processing aids. It effectively suppresses melt fracture and shark skin in a short time and prevents the accumulation of eye droplet at the die lip. It maintains high transparency, impact strength, friction coefficient, and sealing performance of LLDPE films. It complies with food contact standards of major countries, including Japan's Positive List for food sanitation.
