Surface treatment chosen in the automotive parts field.(0)
In the automotive industry, the development of new energy vehicles such as electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles is progressing. In manufacturing facilities for lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells, there is an increasing demand for functions such as higher release-type surface treatment and advanced insulation properties. In experimental equipment, pinhole-free coatings that are flexible and excel in insulation are also used on platinum or aluminum wires with a diameter of 0.1 mm. In terms of improving automotive quality, the demand for coatings is rising not only from the perspective of resin flow and release properties in resin molding but also from the viewpoint of the design of molded products.
-
Surface treatment chosen in the semiconductor and electronics fields.(0)
In the advancing miniaturization of semiconductor processes, a higher purity environment is required. In addition to physical dust, it is necessary to maintain various metal ions at certain levels during the manufacturing process. From that perspective, fluoropolymer coatings, which possess heat resistance, chemical resistance, and chemically inert properties, are widely used in various semiconductor manufacturing equipment, from small components to large containers.
-
Surface treatment chosen in the food sector(0)
Due to the recent labor shortage, the introduction of robots is increasing, and we can respond to the prevention of food sticking that cannot be adhered and peeled off with conventional metal or resin claws by using various release coatings. To achieve efficiency, speed-up, and maintenance-free operation of food packaging machines, Bycoat® is adopted for preventing sticking, improving slip properties, and enhancing wear resistance for guides, buckets, and sealers.
-
Surface treatment chosen in the chemical industry.(0)
In fields where chemical substances are used, coatings aimed at enhancing corrosion resistance are required. Typical corrosion-resistant materials include rubber, glass, and graphite products, but each has its drawbacks. For example, rubber is weak against heat and solvent-based substances, glass linings are vulnerable to alkaline chemicals, thermal shock, and mechanical shock, while graphite products, although excellent in acid resistance, are concerned to be weak against strong oxidizing acids (such as fuming sulfuric acid). From this perspective, perfluorinated fluoropolymers have fewer disadvantages, and in terms of chemical resistance, fluoropolymer coatings/linings can be used in a versatile manner.

Surface treatment chosen in the medical field(0)
In the production sites of medical and pharmaceutical industries, a very strict level of cleanliness is required along with productivity. Coatings are used to prevent sticking on guides and sealers of pharmaceutical packaging machines, improve slip resistance and wear resistance. The slip resistance of tablet production line components, such as tablet press hoppers and guides, is enhanced. Coatings are also employed to prevent adhesion around the stages, hot plates, and parts that use paraffin in pathological testing equipment.
