Rigid strut (restraint)

It limits the displacement during the operation of piping and plant equipment, playing an important role as a safety guiding device for the system. It protects against unexpected impact loads.

This is a rigid strut (restraint) from the German company LISEGA, which boasts the world's top market share in pipe supports (piping support devices). It is used where displacement needs to be restricted during operation, rigidly coupling from connection point to connection point, and does not allow axial movement. Since it uses spherical bearings, it permits slight lateral displacement. It plays an important role in the safety of piping systems during operation. - Transmission of displacement from unexpected load events - Induction function to control the planned thermal movement direction of the piping system - Stabilization through zero-point fixation of flexible piping systems - Designed for axial fixation Applications: Restraints for plant equipment and piping Rated load: 4 to 1000 kN Installation length: 375 to 6000 mm (with adjustment options of 150 mm or 300 mm) Main material: Carbon steel It consists of a joint with spherical bearings at both ends and a highly rigid main body. Installation to structures is done using welded brackets (Type 35), and connection to piping is made using dynamic clamps.
