We received a request for product processing using PET from a medical device manufacturer, and we would like to introduce a case study we conducted. Initially, we attempted processing with annealing treatment at a general temperature, but the dimensions shifted after processing, and we could not achieve a dimensional accuracy within ±0.01mm, leading us to almost give up on this project. However, after researching various literature and repeatedly testing different conditions, we finally discovered annealing treatment at a temperature close to the melting point, which is far from the general temperature, as well as the heating rate, annealing temperature duration, and cooling rate.
