Safety relay
Safety relay
For monitoring safety circuits, the Müller safety relay ESR series instantly or with a delay interrupts multiple current circuits when the emergency stop mechanism is activated. Depending on the circuit configuration, it can detect short circuits, ground faults, and short circuits in emergency stop circuits. It immediately interrupts after detection or prevents restart until the cause of the fault is removed. Safety relays that comply with Category 4 require an additional restart monitoring function, and our products meet this requirement. This also serves as a mechanism to prevent unauthorized operation. The ESR series complies with either EN954-1 categories 2 to 4, depending on the model. If more contacts are needed, the expansion unit ESR4-NE can increase the number of circuits up to four. For less stringent applications (such as stop category 1 in EN60204-1), the ESR4-NV delayed action safety relay is suitable, allowing for delays of up to 30 seconds.
