ABB announces the next-generation robotics control platform OmniCore.
ABB Robotics announces "OmniCore," an intelligent automation platform that enables business enhancement and future development with faster, more precise, and sustainable capabilities. The class-leading motion performance of OmniCore allows multiple robots to operate at high speeds of up to 1,600 mm/second while achieving trajectory accuracy of less than 0.6 mm. This expands new automation possibilities in precision fields such as arc welding, mobile phone display assembly, adhesive application, and laser cutting. Overall, OmniCore can accelerate robot movements by up to 25% compared to traditional ABB controllers and reduce energy consumption by up to 20%. With over 1,000 hardware and software features in OmniCore, customers can easily design, operate, maintain, and optimize their systems. This is made possible by ABB's Absolute Accuracy, software features including PickMaster Twin, and hardware options ranging from external axes to vision systems and field buses.

Mahindra has adopted ABB's PixelPaint as a premium painting option.
ABB's innovative PixelPaint technology has been adopted by Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), a leading SUV manufacturer in India, for its new electric vehicle painting facility. This technology, which uses a painting head similar to an inkjet printer, is scheduled to begin operations in mass production facilities in 2025. PixelPaint consists of a printer head equipped with over 1,000 individually controllable small nozzles, which will be mounted on ABB painting robots such as the IRB 5500. By combining ABB's 3D vision system with ABB's simulation and programming software, RobotStudio, the head perfectly follows the contours of the vehicle body, ensuring that paint is applied 100% accurately without overspray or mist. This eliminates the need for labor-intensive masking work and multiple painting processes, allowing for zero paint loss while ensuring precise reproduction of fine details. In recent years, there has been an increasing demand for personalization options. PixelPaint is an example of how ABB's innovative technology helps establish Mahindra's products in the premium segment.

One of the world's leading aluminum profile manufacturers is utilizing five YuMi robots to ensure reliable solutions for the challenges of domestic production return.
In the domestic return of production bases in Japan's manufacturing industry, automation through robots remains one of the most realistic solutions for manufacturing sites struggling with securing, training, and retaining workers. On the other hand, there are voices expressing uncertainty about the return on investment for system development that meets their own requirements, which prevents them from moving forward with implementation. How does ABB alleviate such concerns and guide customers' investment plans to success? For more details, please visit the link (our company website).
