- The Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC) is the world's first race featuring unmanned autonomous vehicles, with participation from universities around the globe. - ADLINK provides robust edge AI devices, technical resources, and technical support required for in-vehicle computing and validation to the university teams participating in the IAC. - Teams will also benefit from ADLINK's open-source software support necessary for ROS-based middleware, including the integration of IAC's vehicle sensor suite and Ansys's VREXPERIENCE simulation into the Eclipse Cyclone DDS middleware, as well as optimizations of ROS2 from Open Robotics. ADLINK Technology has become the official sponsor of the Indy Autonomous Challenge (IAC), which is scheduled to take place on October 23, 2021. The IAC is a competition among universities aiming for a prize pool of $1.5 million over two years, where modified Dallara IL-15 vehicles will be programmed to compete in the world's first high-speed unmanned autonomous vehicle race at the renowned Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS).
