On July 12, the Japan Coating Technology Association held the "First Lecture of FY 2019" at the Tokyo office of Nippon Paint Holdings. The theme was "Technological Development for High Functionality of Coatings - Challenges from 360°," and presentations were made on enhancing the performance of coatings and supporting peripheral technologies. About 100 people participated. Excerpt from the article (please refer to the attached document for the full text): ■ Glare Suppression for Displays - Aphrodite/Nippon Chemical Paint ■ First, Mr. Shuichi Shima, CEO of Aphrodite, which specializes in the maintenance and sales of optical measurement equipment, explained the "glare" that occurs on display surfaces. Next, Mr. Daisuke Shimizu from the High-Functionality Products Division of Nippon Chemical Paint took the stage with the topic "Development Trends of Anti-Glare Coatings for Displays and Quantification Methods for Glare." The company developed an AG coating by adopting a method of dispersing nanoparticles in a resin solution, followed by applying the solution to a film to create a textured surface.
