BYK-092 is a silicone-based defoamer for water-based applications that contains no VOCs, featuring broad compatibility and long-term stability, suitable for brush and spray painting.
BYK-092 is a highly effective defoamer specifically designed for water-based clear coats and high-gloss systems. It also exhibits excellent performance in matte and pigment systems. It has a balanced compatibility and incompatibility, which does not affect transparency or gloss. It is effective with all standard application methods, including roller coating, brush application, spraying, and curtain coating. This additive can generally be added at any stage of the manufacturing process.

It can be mixed very easily with low shear force using a dissolver. Post-addition is also possible.
