Stable emulsion without surfactants made using LAPONITE.
It becomes possible to work at room temperature and produce emulsions more quickly and at a lower cost!
LAPONITE, which is usually used for controlling the rheological properties of aqueous formulations, can also act as an excellent emulsifier when used in a novel method called "powder particle method" developed by BYK. It stabilizes against creaming and coalescence due to the particles, and the resulting emulsions that do not contain surfactants are referred to as Pickering emulsions. In addition to providing stability to emulsions, LAPONITE simultaneously imparts gel structure and low viscosity due to shear, offering formulation designers a valuable dual benefit. *For detailed information, please refer to the PDF document.
