Pixel-shifting camera(7)
We have achieved a significant improvement in camera resolution through a micro-motion mechanism (actuator) that incorporates our uniquely developed (patented) piezoelectric element. By moving the CMOS sensor in sub-micrometer increments and synthesizing images taken at each position, we can obtain high resolution. Additionally, for color cameras, by moving each R, G, and B of the Bayer pattern to the same position, it is possible to achieve color resolution comparable to that of three-plate cameras. This technology is expected to be used in a wide range of fields, not only for machine vision applications but also for research and archiving purposes.
