In 2021, at the 18th "Super" Monozukuri Parts Award, the "Pressure-Controlled Ultra-High-Precision Gas Flow Controller (FCS-P8500)" won the "Mechanical and Robot Parts Award." Thank you very much. The "Pressure-Controlled Ultra-High-Precision Gas Flow Controller (FCS-P8500)" is a newly developed flow controller by Fujikin for semiconductor manufacturing processes. It expands the rangeability by 10 times while maintaining the same housing size as conventional models and improves flow control accuracy by 40 times. What is a valve in the first place? A valve is a general term for devices that have a "mechanism" to open and close the passage of fluids (a collective term for gases and liquids) to allow, stop, or throttle the flow of those fluids. When modifiers indicating usage, form, or type are added, the term "tap" may be used. For example, general-purpose tap, ball valve, two-way valve, etc. Valves that primarily control the release and consumption of fluids are also referred to as "plugs." The new "MIRAI" has adopted Fujikin's high-pressure hydrogen components!
We are pleased to announce that two newly developed high-pressure hydrogen components have been adopted in the new "MIRAI" fuel cell vehicle released by Toyota Motor Corporation! Following the first-generation "MIRAI" launched in 2014, the safety valve (PRD) that is installed on the hydrogen container has been adopted. The newly developed products have undergone a complete review of materials and manufacturing methods suitable for mass production for the new "MIRAI," contributing to cost reduction by automating the entire process from assembly to inspection. The newly adopted manifold joint is a component that combines multiple tank piping. A new automated processing line has been established, automating the entire process from material input to finishing, similar to the safety valve (PRD), from assembly to inspection. Additionally, Fujikin manufactures valve equipment for hydrogen stations, which are essential infrastructure for the proliferation of fuel cell vehicles. We will continue our research and development for further application expansion and contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality.

15 consecutive years of awards! We received the 2018 "Super" Monozukuri Parts Award.
At the 15th "Super" Monozukuri Parts Awards (organized by the Monozukuri Japan Conference and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun), Fujikin's next-generation diaphragm valve for semiconductor processes received the Electric and Electronic Components Award. This product is used in gas supply systems that provide process gases such as organometallics to film deposition and etching equipment in the front-end processes of semiconductor manufacturing. As semiconductor integration advances, valves are required to have greater durability and flow accuracy than ever before. By innovating the diaphragm material, the shape, material, and design of the components that hold and press the diaphragm, we successfully developed a diaphragm valve for next-generation semiconductor processes.

Awarded the "Grand Prize"! We have won the 16th "Super" Monozukuri Parts Award for 16 consecutive years in 2019.
At the 16th "Super" Monozukuri Parts Awards (organized by the Monozukuri Japan Conference and Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun), Fujikin's ultra-high-pressure liquid hydrogen compatible valve received the "Grand Prize." This product is based on the technology accumulated from the development of valves for space rockets, fuel filling systems for large rockets, and ultra-high-pressure hydrogen gas valves for hydrogen stations, which began in collaboration with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in 1976. As the spread of hydrogen stations is planned to realize a sustainable hydrogen society, safely supplying liquid hydrogen will meet the demand for refueling FCVs (fuel cell vehicles), including large vehicles such as fuel cell buses.
