April 24th Event: MATLAB JMAG Integrated MBD Solution Seminar - Achieving Front-Loading with Domestic Manufacturer's Toolchain -

We have organized a joint seminar by three domestic companies that provide MBD tools in the field of power electronics. This seminar will introduce a toolchain that covers everything from the upstream design of power electronic systems using MATLAB and JMAG to functional verification on actual devices in a seamless manner. Additionally, Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will present case studies on the application of MBD in power systems, including the definition of requirements, the transition to MILS, and the purposes and considerations for using RCP and HILS, along with several application examples. This seminar will provide valuable content for those who are currently engaged in MBD development as well as those who are looking to start.

1. High-Speed Stability Analysis By using a unique analysis algorithm, both analysis time and convergence issues are resolved. It is possible to perform high-speed stability analysis of switching converters. 2. Loss Analysis Fully automated and capable of performing loss analysis quickly. Displays losses for all components, with switching losses automatically measured. 2-1. Simulates turn-on and turn-off operations with high-speed calculations and automatically analyzes losses. 2-2. Visualizes the proportions of each part through a display of the loss analysis results conducted for all components. 2-3. Requires minimal settings for simulation, with results displayed with a single click. 3. Model-Based Development Connects with Simulink to establish a model-based development environment. The connection with the Simulink model can be easily achieved by placing the Scideam block on Simulink.
[MBD Case Study] Verification of ECU Fail Detection during Inverter Switch Failure
Verification of whether failure detection during inverter malfunction can be performed within the detection time (within 100 ms).

[Considerations] ■ By using the JMAG-RT model (air conditioning harmonic model), it was possible to detect failure during inverter faults within the detection time (within 100ms). ■ The failure detection logic detects the distortion of current that occurs during a disconnection to make a judgment; however, in the linear model, the waveform is close to a sine wave, and no harmonic components are generated, leading to misjudgment (failure to detect disconnection). ■ The results detected using the JMAG-RT model in the MATLAB/Simulink (MILS) environment closely match the results verified in the RT-Sim-III (HILS) environment, confirming that it can be used for validation with actual ECUs and in abnormal scenarios. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
