The "2021 Automotive Technology Exhibition" will be held at Pacifico Yokohama from May 26 (Wednesday) to 28 (Friday). At the Heganes Japan booth (Booth 160), we will introduce the latest applications of metal powders in two fields: 1) sintered gears for automotive transmissions, and 2) various vehicle motor cores by SMC. We will showcase actual sintered gears for medium-sized vehicles, specifically a 6-speed MT gear with an input torque class of 320Nm used by the European Sintered Gear Consortium, as well as the latest sintered gears (planned) for attendees to see and touch, allowing them to experience the potential of sintered gears. We will also introduce Alvier AG PM-Technology (part of the Heganes Group), which has advanced technology for the core manufacturing process, including molding dies. Additionally, we will present application examples of motor cores using Somaloy, which is effectively a benchmark for pure iron-based powder magnetic materials, along with sample products. This time, we will focus on axial gap motors and plan to exhibit actual machines adopted by customers.
