Thank you for your continued support. Our long-term rust preventive oil, "Idemitsu Supercoat RS," which achieves improved productivity through water displacement, has recently won the 2025 "Outstanding New Product Award" at the Industrial Cleaning Conference (JICC). This oil successfully combines water displacement (cleaning properties of cutting fluids and grinding fluids) and exposure rust prevention at a high level, which was previously difficult to achieve. Users have praised it for significantly reducing rust, stains, and white residue during rust prevention storage, and for allowing cleaning and rust prevention processes to be done with a single liquid. This recognition is a result of our contribution to the industrial cleaning industry and the technical uniqueness of our product. For those struggling with rust prevention issues between processes, or considering yield improvement and quality enhancement, we encourage you to consider "Idemitsu Supercoat RS" at this opportunity. For case studies on its use in the field, videos related to water displacement, or inquiries, please visit here: https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/products/RS/index.html

"Idemitsu Smart OC" is a technology that allows for easy on-site diagnosis of the degradation and contamination state of lubricants using a smartphone and a photography module. We are pleased to announce that we have received the Good Design Award for the fiscal year 2025. The "Good Design Award," organized by the Japan Design Promotion Association, is Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and recommendation system. This award places greater importance on innovation than on mere aesthetic beauty, and it has been recognized as an innovation that addresses social issues such as labor shortages and environmental impact reduction. By simply photographing the lubricant contained in the module with a smartphone, it calculates the remaining lifespan percentage and the quantity and size of contaminants. This allows for a data-driven judgment of the appropriate timing for lubricant replacement, contributing to the stable operation of machinery and equipment. [Features and Benefits] ■ Reduction of time and labor for lubricant diagnosis ■ Determination of remaining lifespan percentage based on lubricant color (degradation state) ■ Calculation of the quantity and size of contaminants (contamination state) ■ Contribution to the optimization of lubricant replacement timing Transitioning from TBM (Time-Based Maintenance) to CBM (Condition-Based Maintenance) *Please note that specifications may change without prior notice.

Thank you very much for your exceptional support as always. We are pleased to announce that our latest water-soluble cutting oil, the "Daphne Alpha Cool NV Series," has received the "Grand Prize" at the Super Monozukuri Parts Awards. Among the various award categories, the NV Series has been recognized as the "Top Award" representing the 2024 fiscal year. This award was given in recognition of our ability to leverage fundamental technological capabilities and the genuine voices from the manufacturing site to solve challenges in production environments. We will strive to live up to the name of this award by contributing to both "improvements in working conditions and management costs" for the manufacturing sites and all those who support them through new product development and proposals. ◆ List of Awarded Parts for the 21st Super Monozukuri Parts Awards / From the Monozukuri Japan Conference HP ◆ https://award.cho-monodzukuri.jp/award2024/

Thank you very much for your exceptional support as always. We are pleased to announce that our latest water-soluble cutting oil, the "Daphne Alpha Cool NV Series," has received the "Minister of the Environment Award" at the Green Sustainable Chemistry (GSC) Awards. This award recognizes our contribution to "reducing environmental impact" and acknowledges our product as socially implemented. The NV Series includes two types: an emulsion type that supports a wide range of processing from non-ferrous to alloy steel, and a soluble type specialized for iron processing. By combining the concepts of "improving the work environment on-site" and "reducing the amount of concentrate used," we have developed a water-soluble cutting oil that is friendly to the environment, producers, and the economy, which has been adopted by many customers. To live up to the name of this award, we will contribute to both "improving the work environment and management costs" for those supporting manufacturing sites and the Japanese manufacturing industry through new product development and proposals. ◆ List of winners of the 24th GSC Award / From the JACI Public Interest Incorporated Association for the Promotion of New Chemical Technology HP ◆ https://www.jaci.or.jp/gscn/page_03/awards/gscaw-2024.html

Thank you very much for your continued patronage. We will be holding the 2024 Cutting Heat Treatment Research Meeting (ZOOM Online). 【Introduction to Seminar Content Part 1】 We are pleased to have Professor Emeritus Yamane from Hiroshima University Graduate School of Engineering as a speaker, who will give a lecture on the effects of cutting oils from the perspective of cutting conditions. It is known that the effects of cutting oils vary significantly depending on "cutting conditions," such as the work material, tools, the method of oil supply, and machine tools. In this lecture, we will consider the reasons behind the relationship between cutting conditions and the effects of cutting oils, and explain the thinking necessary for effectively using cutting oils. We hope you will participate and find it useful for your daily activities. We will introduce other lecture contents tomorrow. <Schedule> Date: February 7, 2025 (Friday) 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Login starts at 9:30 AM) <Registration Method> *Pre-registration required Participation Fee: Free Registration Deadline: January 31, 2025 (Friday) <URL for Information> https://www.idemitsu.com/jp/business/lube/news/240106.pdf

Our company has been awarded the 43rd Precision Engineering Society Technical Award selected by the Precision Engineering Society. We entered with our development of "high-performance water-soluble cutting oil that can contribute to carbon neutrality," and our originality, novelty, and practicality were recognized, leading to the award. The product that applies the technology developed this time is the "Daphne Alpha Cool NV Series (EX-NV, WX-NV)."

An interview article about the "Alphacool NV Series," which won a technology award at the Precision Engineering Society, was published in the August 2024 issue of "Machines and Tools." This magazine provides a wide range of valuable information for engineers, researchers, and those directly or indirectly involved in production processing, covering basic technologies that support production processing, new and trending information, courses that help resolve engineers' questions and enhance skills, overseas information, and industry news.
