Modernization of MFC/plant equipment for SLA bioprocesses using MFC in biopharmaceutical manufacturing towards PROFINET.

ITWジャパン
The introduction of a mass flow controller (MFC) that can control flow rates down to 0.4% of full scale due to a 1:250 turndown allows for the construction of a system that can be completed with one MFC instead of the two that were previously necessary. The SLA series equipped with EtherNet/IP and PROFINET protocols can be easily included in these large packages along with advanced diagnostic tools. Older PLC and DCS systems provide flow rates and set points (PV) to help customers monitor and make important process-related decisions. Brooks Instrument's advanced diagnostics offer many predictive, trend analysis, and reliability-driven parameter solutions that can be monitored in real-time. Choke flow, backsteaming, calibration drift over time, and total flow to the MFC are all examples of valuable parameters that can be monitored. By implementing these protocols, the startup and access to Siemens, Delta-V, and Rockwell Automation PLC systems can be expedited.
