A U.S. biotech company has adopted the Cambridge VISCOlab 5000 for viscosity measurement of micro-samples for the development of an injectable drug for brain aneurysms. This viscosity measurement device requires only a sample volume of 0.075cc, achieving accurate and reliable measurements while significantly reducing costs. Viscosity measurement is performed automatically by simply placing the sample liquid into the measurement chamber, and the liquid temperature is also automatically controlled, leading to highly effective results.

The VISCOlab 5000 can measure viscosity with just 75μl (0.075cc) of sample liquid, making it an ideal product for pharmaceutical development where sample liquids are often extremely expensive, as well as for applications that can only use minute amounts of sample liquid. Additionally, the manufacturer offers other small-volume viscosity meters (requiring 1-2ml or less), allowing for a wide range of user requirements to be met.
