All buildings, including apartments, hospitals, hotels, and schools, have plumbing for baths, sinks, kitchens, and laundry. The piping material is generally a steel pipe with a vinyl lining (abbreviated as VLP), which has a layer of polyvinyl chloride on the inside, preventing the iron from coming into direct contact with water and thus preventing the occurrence of red rust.
