<Must-see for pipe and building managers> Internal water piping [Free diagnosis] now accepting applications!
For piping that has been in use for 20 years, we recommend a free diagnosis! Based on diagnostic results from images and data, we will propose the best methods for cost reduction and extending the life of the piping.
Do you know of any ways to reduce the management costs of piping and further extend the lifespan of older pipes? By reconsidering the replacement of old pipes (pipe renewal) and traditional pipe rehabilitation, significant cost reductions can be achieved. Additionally, the typical lifespan of pipes, which is around 20 years, can be extended to 40 to 50 years, equivalent to the lifespan of the building. At Japan System Planning, we offer a free diagnosis of red rust deterioration inside pipes. If the diagnosis indicates that cost reduction is not possible, we will not make any proposals. We will conduct a diagnosis to help you continue using old pipes for as long as possible and at a low cost. Please feel free to contact us! [Recommended for those who:] ■ Want to know the deterioration status of their pipes ■ Are considering pipe renewal but are troubled by high costs ■ Are paying ongoing costs for pipe management, such as internal cleaning *You can download materials for free. *Please feel free to contact us first. *The free diagnosis is applicable to customers considering the introduction of our products only.

Cosmo Kajigaya Le Seine Mansion Water Supply Pipe Effect Verification of Red Rust to Black Rust Conversion
In Cosmo Kajigaya Le Seine, in 2000, 14 years after its construction, a piping rehabilitation device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed to prevent the deterioration of the water supply pipes due to red rust. After conducting a pipe inspection in the 10th year after installation, it was confirmed that the transformation of red rust to black rust had occurred and that the progression of red rust deterioration had completely stopped. Now, 20 years after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, and 34 years after construction, there are no issues with red rust in the water supply pipes, and the condition remains excellent.

Effect verification of red rust to black rust in the water supply pipes of Coop Nomura Minami Ishikiri apartment.
In August 2001, 23 years after its construction, the Coop Nomura Minami Ishikiri installed a pipe rehabilitation device called "NMR Pipe Protector." The vinyl-lined water supply pipes have a statutory useful life of 20 years, and although 20 years have passed, making it 43 years since construction, they continue to be used without any signs of red rust deterioration. A few years ago, a pipe inspection was conducted, confirming that the red rust had turned to black rust and that the deterioration of the pipes had stopped.

Water supply piping extended for over 40 years by NMR pipe protector Part 2
DPE Factory Water Supply Piping This property, built 35 years ago, used galvanized steel pipes for the water supply, which led to leaks and the occurrence of red water due to rust deterioration. A pipe diagnosis by experts indicated a lifespan of only 2 months, prompting the installation of NMR Pipe Protectors on the secondary side piping of the elevated water tank. After installation, since more than 800 tons of water were used daily, the rust prevention effect was quickly realized, resulting in no leaks and the red water issue was resolved within a week. Since then, until the factory's closure in the summer of 2020, the water supply pipes were used for 55 years without any red rust problems. According to the "Life Cycle Cost of Buildings" supervised by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the lifespan of galvanized steel water supply pipes is 15 years, but this became an example of extending their lifespan by 40 years. The main material of the current water supply pipes is vinyl-lined steel pipes, which have less rust deterioration, so the installation of NMR Pipe Protectors is expected to lead to even longer lifespans.

Water supply piping extended for over 40 years by NMR pipe protector Part 1
T Building Water Supply Piping According to the "Life Cycle Cost of Buildings" supervised by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the statutory useful life of water supply piping made of galvanized steel pipes is 15 years. However, at T Building in Tokyo, after 37 years since its construction in November 2000, there was a water leak from a part of the water supply pipe, and red water occurred, prompting the installation of NMR Pipe Protectors. Since the installation of the NMR Pipe Protectors, no new leaks have occurred, and the issue of red water has been completely resolved. Now, 20 years later, the water supply pipes have been in use for 57 years since construction, already extending the statutory useful life by 42 years.

Verification of NMR Pipe Protector Effect at Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau Part 1
The Yokohama City Waterworks Bureau conducted a demonstration test to prevent the occurrence of red rust in water supply pipes and to solve the problem of reduced chlorine concentration in water due to red rust. This was verified using the water supply pipe in the bathroom of Room 102, which was vacant, in the Tsuzumi water reservoir's attached public housing that was 20 years old at the time. The piping materials used were polyethylene-lined steel pipes for shared areas and resin pipes for exclusive areas, where red rust occurred at the pipe joint. The iron concentration in the stagnant water at the bathtub water supply faucet before installation was 0.27 mg/l, and the residual chlorine at that time was 0.11 ppm. Additionally, during the two weeks prior to installation (with water flowing for 3 hours a day), the amount of red rust adhered to the faucet filter was 13 mg/l, indicating significant corrosion of red rust at the pipe joint. After installing the NMR pipe protector on the entire water supply inlet pipe (50A) of the Tsuzumi public housing, the iron concentration in the stagnant water at the bathtub water supply faucet decreased to 0.15 mg/l after one week, while the residual chlorine increased to 0.56 ppm, five times higher than before installation. The NMR pipe protector completely halted the deterioration of red rust, proving that the surface of the existing red rust transformed into passive black rust and that the reduction of chlorine ceased. *You can download the materials for free. *Please feel free to contact us first.
