[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Kumamoto Red Cross Hospital
The total iron concentration in the water is also less than 0.1 mg/L, maintaining a good condition where red rust does not dissolve in the water!
At Kumamoto Red Cross Hospital, a red rust prevention device called "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping to prevent red rust after 16 years of construction, and the rust prevention effect was verified. Two weeks after installation, water samples were taken from the air conditioning chilled and hot water piping, and upon retesting, the total iron content due to red rust in the water had significantly decreased to 0.07 mg/l. On February 27, 2019, four years after installation, water sampling was conducted, and it was confirmed that new red rust was completely prevented, and the existing red rust had been converted into insoluble black rust in the water, maintaining the water's transparency. [Summary] ■ Before installation: The total iron content due to red rust in the water was 12.3 mg/l, indicating progression of red rust in the piping. ■ Effects after installation: - Two weeks after installation, the total iron content due to red rust in the water significantly decreased to 0.07 mg/l. - Four years after installation, new red rust was completely prevented. - The existing red rust was converted into insoluble black rust in the water, maintaining the water's transparency. - The total iron content in the water was also maintained at less than 0.1 mg/L, indicating that red rust was not dissolving in the water. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
