The CFRP market is primarily adopted in aerospace, railway, and automotive applications, with the automotive industry seeing an increasing demand for lightweight vehicles driven by environmental concerns and fuel efficiency improvements. However, compared to injection molding, the molding process is longer and more expensive, leading to a growing demand for quantifying the conditions inside the mold. As a countermeasure, there is a rising need to improve productivity and quality by measuring the resin filling pressure and temperature within the mold cavity.
