The CFRP market is primarily adopted in aerospace, railway, and automotive applications, with the automotive industry seeing an increasing demand for lightweight vehicles driven by environmental concerns and fuel efficiency improvements. However, compared to injection molding, the molding process is longer and more expensive, leading to a growing movement to quantify the conditions inside the mold. As a countermeasure, there is a rising demand to improve productivity and quality by measuring the resin filling pressure and temperature within the mold cavity. Kistler proposes a "visualization solution for the inside of the mold" using high-performance quartz piezoelectric internal pressure sensors, which will be introduced in a webinar.
