Contec has announced three types of antiviral and antibacterial treated protective films for touch panels, designed for its fanless all-in-one industrial PCs "Panel Computers (PT Series)" and "Flat Panel Displays (FPD Series)" (IPC-CV-AV Series). Sales began on December 9, 2021. The new products are protective films for touch panels that are compatible with our panel computers (PT Series) and flat panel displays (FPD Series), available in three sizes: 10.1 inches, 12.1 inches, and 15 inches. They utilize "Kansen Guard(R)," which meets the safety standards of the SIAA (Antibacterial Products Technology Association), providing not only protection against scratches on LCD touch panel screens but also functionality to reduce attached viruses and bacteria in a short time. Thanks to the dual effect of copper ions from monovalent copper compound nanoparticles on the film's surface and reactive oxygen, viruses and bacteria are rapidly reduced, with a confirmed reduction of over 99.99% for various viruses within 30 minutes. The antiviral function remains intact even after repeated cleaning with disinfectants, allowing for long-term safe use.
