Needles and similar diagnostic components need to be cleaned every time they handle different reagents or samples. KNF's liquid diaphragm pumps are essential for keeping them clean. Diagnostic equipment frequently uses needles for the administration of reagents and the transfer of sample specimens to perform important diagnostic tests. These needles must be thoroughly cleaned to avoid cross-contamination and eliminate the risk of false positive test results. However, this process can be surprisingly challenging. To completely clean the needles, it is necessary to force cleaning solution through them at a sufficiently high flow rate to remove all residues.

In food service applications, a large number of commercial dishwashers are relied upon to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Diaphragm pumps are key to effective commercial dishwashing, playing various roles in these systems. Diaphragm pumps are a powerful option for introducing rinse aids, detergents, and sanitizers into commercial dishwashers. Typically, rinse aids and sanitizers are diluted with water before being sprayed onto dishes, while detergents are introduced directly into the machine. Because the pressure required to discharge these into a standard water pressure line is high, commercial dishwashers need to rely on powerful pumps.

The KNF gas pump plays an important role in laser dental treatment. It is used to generate compressed air, which is mixed with water to produce a spray mist. This mist helps to cool the oral area during treatment. Both the NPK 09 and NPK 09.1.2 are essential to this process. These swing piston gas pumps are oil-free, have a high performance-to-size ratio, and are highly reliable. The flow rates are 15 l/min and 24 l/min respectively, with a maximum pressure of 7 bar (gauge pressure) for both pumps. Liquid diaphragm pumps also play an important role in laser dental treatment. Pumps like the FMM 20 are typically used to cool the laser with deionized water. The FMM 20 is designed for dry running, is self-priming, and is maintenance-free. Its maximum flow rate is 0.018 l/min, maximum pressure is 1 bar (gauge), and maximum suction height is 3 mH20.

The latest foot disease treatment equipment uses high-quality gas and liquid diaphragm pumps, providing safety, hygiene, and comfort for both patients and medical staff. For many people, professional foot care is an essential part of a high-quality life. It starts with beauty treatments for grooming and extends to medical care that is crucial for maintaining healthy feet, healing wounds, and supporting the overall health of patients. Regardless of whether it is for beauty or medical purposes, most treatments involve some form of foot disease treatment equipment, with KNF diaphragm pumps playing a key role.

Liquid cooling functions by circulating a liquid called coolant through pipes and tubes, absorbing heat and dissipating it from critical components. This lowers the temperature of important parts such as condensers, inductors, and control circuits, improving charging efficiency and extending product lifespan. The coolant is typically a mixture of glycol and water to prevent freezing and boiling. High-quality liquid pumps are essential for effective liquid cooling operations. A consistent and stable flow rate is necessary for these systems to function properly, allowing the coolant to maintain an appropriate temperature while effectively dissipating heat from the elements. Reliability is also crucial, as coolant leaks can cause catastrophic damage to equipment.

The auxiliary artificial heart equipped with a KNF pump shortens the waiting time for donor organ provision. The KNF diaphragm pump plays an important role in the auxiliary artificial heart. Reliable continuous operation of the blood pump and components is required for simulated heartbeat. The KNF modular system successfully meets customer-specific requirements.

Regardless of the application, it is difficult to choose the best pump for the job. There are many liquid pump technologies available, but diaphragm liquid pumps and tube pumps (peristaltic pumps) are both commonly used. However, which technology is superior? And what applications are they suitable for? Choosing a pump is challenging due to the many factors to consider and the challenges associated with the diverse pump technologies available. The diaphragm pump and tube pump (peristaltic pump) are frequently adopted as liquid pump technologies. Both types of pumps are used in various applications. Below, we will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of these different pump technologies.

Noble gases such as helium, neon, and argon are essential in a wide range of industries and scientific research. From aerospace applications to the semiconductor industry, their unique properties bring significant benefits. The recovery of noble gases not only helps protect natural resources but also reduces the environmental impact of their production. By recovering and reusing these gases, the industry can minimize waste and reduce dependence on new gas sources, contributing not only to economic benefits but also to overall sustainability. Two-stage diaphragm pumps like the KNF N630.15 series are particularly advantageous for the recovery of noble gases. They combine efficient and reliable performance under harsh conditions with flexibility to accommodate a wide range of capacities, pressures, and gas compositions. Additionally, their compact design and inherent gas-tightness minimize gas leakage while providing high versatility and customizability for applications ranging from small to large scale. To ensure this, these pumps undergo additional helium leak testing before shipment.

To select the ideal diaphragm pump, it is necessary to recognize the characteristics of the medium being transferred. This will explain the differences between aerosols, wet gases, and condensate, as well as the processing methods using diaphragm pumps.
