Effect of High Concentration Carbon Dioxide Treatment on Spider Mites in Strawberry Seedlings
Specific data such as the content and characteristics of the results, as well as tables, are included! It has been recognized that high concentrations of carbon dioxide have a significant effect on spider mites on strawberry seedlings!
This document introduces the effects of high-concentration carbon dioxide treatment on spider mites in strawberry seedlings during the low-temperature period. It includes specific data such as the content and characteristics of the results, as well as tables. High-concentration carbon dioxide treatment has been established as a method for controlling spider mites in some regions for forced cultivation, but it is said that a treatment temperature of around 30°C is necessary to achieve high effectiveness. However, in the case of summer-autumn cropping, maintaining a treatment temperature of 30°C is difficult, so we examined the level of mite-killing effect at a treatment temperature of 25°C, which can be achieved by heating the facility. The results showed that even at a treatment temperature of 25°C, high effectiveness was observed against adult spider mites and eggs on strawberry seedlings.
