The asphalt paving/cutting machine system manufactured by Soki Co., Ltd. has adopted the laser distance sensor from Dimetix, and the case study has been featured on the Dimetix website.
In road paving work, it is necessary to measure how thick the asphalt or concrete is paved, or how much of the old pavement is removed before paving. Dimetix's laser distance sensor is mounted on the outside of the paving machinery facing the road surface, allowing for continuous height measurement. By using this measurement system in conjunction with the paving work, it is possible to use paving materials (asphalt or concrete) efficiently, keep track of the amount used, and achieve a smooth finish.
