One of the environmentally friendly products they handle is our Calfresh, which has been adopted for use as an antibacterial sheet for bento boxes. It has been recognized for utilizing scallop shells that would otherwise be treated as waste, suppressing bacterial growth, and contributing to the reduction of food loss, aligning with their SDGs initiatives. It is also used by bento chain stores and is available for sale online. Calfresh is an OPP film blended with fine powder from scallop shells. The film surface becomes alkaline due to moisture from food, which suppresses bacterial growth. This is the first time this product has been adopted for use as an antibacterial sheet.
