We are pleased to announce that "Alphan GPP," a biomass plastic blended OPP developed by Prince Eftax Co., Ltd. (President: Hirokazu Yasui, Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), has been adopted for the packaging of dried goods in the "Topvalu Best Price" series sold by Aeon Topvalu Co., Ltd. (President: Mitsuko Tsuchiya, Headquarters: Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture). Alphan GPP is an OPP film blended with biomass plastic made from waste cooking oil derived from plant-based edible oils. By incorporating biomass plastic, it contributes to the conservation of petroleum resources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Aeon Topvalu Co., Ltd. is actively addressing environmental issues and has declared its intention to switch all Topvalu products to environmentally friendly products by 2025. In this initiative, they have taken notice of Alphan GPP. The packaging in question features a unique "Environmental Consideration 3R Mark," which is awarded to products that demonstrate superiority in decarbonization compared to existing Topvalu products or those generally available in the market.
