If the direction of the tangential line and the orientation of the blade tip differ, the blade may break. The axis that rotates the cutting tool (θ-axis) should constantly manage the direction of the XY vector and rotate automatically. Additionally, at corners, it is necessary to temporarily raise the blade tip, align the θ-axis with the next movement direction, and then lower the blade. ■Features of Techno's Tangential/Normal Control 1. Precise & Accurate & Smooth The XY vector is calculated every control cycle (e.g., 0.125 msec) to control the θ axis. Additionally, the interpolation is perfectly synchronized between the X, Y, and θ axes. By matching the position loop gain and acceleration/deceleration time constants of the XYθ axes, it is possible to achieve accurate synchronization in actual operation. The θ axis can be rotated smoothly due to the fine control cycle. 2. Operates in Automatic/Manual Mode Our tangential/normal control function operates regardless of whether it is in automatic or manual mode (e.g., manual pulse or jog). This means that even when moving with a manual pulse, cutting operations can still be performed. 3. Specification from Techno Code, G Code, PC, or Ladder You can specify the enable/disable of tangential/normal control at the command level within Techno code or G code operation programs, as well as from a PC or ladder.
