PI GmbH (Karlsruhe, Germany) has acquired 100% of the shares of PDW Corporation. PDW Corporation, located in Gifu Prefecture, the center of aerospace technology in Japan, has the capability to design and manufacture granite stone plates and positioning systems using them. These two skills align perfectly with PI's corporate strategy to build a global network for the PI design center. In the medium term, PDW Corporation is also expected to join this network. In the future, there are plans to assemble PI's positioning systems at PDW Corporation. Granite has unique properties that absorb heat and vibrations. PDW Corporation is capable of producing granite stone plates with the highest level of flatness. These stone plates are used in applications requiring high precision in the fields of semiconductors, life sciences, photonics, and industrial automation.
