Fully Electric Collaborative Robot Vacuum Gripper "No Compressed Air Required, Excellent Vacuum Performance" Piab's new piCOBOT® Electric Vacuum Gripper Unit significantly enhances the versatility of collaborative robots by eliminating the need for compressed air. Its lightweight design allows for direct attachment to the flange of collaborative robot tools, and since no vacuum piping is required, the range of motion of the arm is completely unrestricted. Another advantage is its energy efficiency. The current supplied to the collaborative robot arm is sufficient to provide full functionality. With only one connection for both power supply and data flow, the entire installed unit can be quickly removed and easily relocated. To maximize the performance of both the vacuum gripper unit and the collaborative robot, it can be used with a serial communication protocol for UR e-series.
