PTC is set to acquire Intland Software, a next-generation application lifecycle management (ALM) company.
PTC (Headquarters: Massachusetts, USA, President and CEO: James E. Heppelmann, NASDAQ: PTC, hereinafter referred to as PTC / Japan subsidiary: PTC Japan Inc., Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Hiroaki Kuwahara) announced today that it has finalized an agreement to acquire Intland Software for approximately $280 million. Intland develops and sells Codebeamer, a suite of application lifecycle management (ALM) software products that are capable of cloud integration. This acquisition is expected to significantly expand PTC's ALM solutions into industries where safety is particularly emphasized and those that are heavily regulated. PTC provides the ALM solution "Codebeamer" as a strategic supplier for the Volkswagen Group.
PTC (Headquarters: Massachusetts, USA, President and CEO: James E. Heppelmann, NASDAQ: PTC, hereinafter referred to as PTC / Japanese subsidiary: PTC Japan Inc., Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Hiroaki Kuwahara) announced today that it has established a strategic supplier relationship with the Volkswagen Group, and that PTC's Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution, Codebeamer, will be adopted for the software development of next-generation electric vehicles across all brands of the Volkswagen Group. Codebeamer will further enhance the efficiency of development tasks such as software requirements management, test management, and release management in the development of Volkswagen Group's new electric vehicles. PTC and the Volkswagen Group plan to expand Codebeamer to various development departments within the Volkswagen Group to support the software development process and further develop their collaborative relationship. PTC releases Onshape's cloud-native CAM Studio.
