Pressure relief | IKB type inverted rupture disk
Minimization of downtime and exceptional performance through advanced CPL technology.
The IKB type is a cost-effective inverted rupture disk suitable for various applications and a wide range of processes. It provides diverse solutions tailored to the needs of the entire plant. The IKB type rupture disk is specially designed to protect pressure vessels, piping systems, gas cylinders, reactors, and more from overpressure. The IKB type is a unique inverted rupture disk manufactured using REMBE's proprietary "Contour Precision Laser Ring (CPL) technology." This technology ensures the highest quality and precise burst operation control even under the most extreme environmental conditions. The IKB type features precision sublimation processing that does not affect the crystalline structure of the material, resulting in a disk design with no fragment dispersion at the full bore opening. It has a 95%* operating pressure ratio, excelling in harsh high-cycle applications and enabling the longevity of the plant. *May vary depending on the application.
basic information
【Benefits of Use】 ◆ Excellent cost-effectiveness, high quality, and high performance – Ideal for new installations or replacements that prioritize reasonable prices and quality. ◆ Reduction in safety valve costs – When using the IKB type for safety valve protection, the pressure safety valve does not come into contact with the process media during normal operation, allowing for the use of more economical materials for pressure safety valves. ◆ Manufactured using CPL laser processing, a technique that does not affect the crystalline structure of the material, reducing downtime caused by early rupture, corrosion at score points, and pinholes. ◆ Design that is less affected by torque: No special tools are required for installation, thus avoiding the risk of damage during installation and maximizing process uptime. ◆ Wide range of process conditions supported – One type of rupture disk can accommodate many installation locations, saving on training and costs.

YouTube video about rupture discs for FPSO use.
A new Japanese video has been released on REMBE's YouTube channel. This video introduces the features of rupture discs for FPSOs. Pressure relief devices play a crucial role in the production stages of oil and gas. Rupture discs are widely used in many FPSO applications due to their ability to open quickly across the entire cross-section, precise and reliable burst control, and compatibility with other pressure relief products such as safety valves. REMBE specializes in designing and manufacturing customized rupture discs for special applications like FPSOs. This not only alleviates traditional concerns in the industry but also contributes to improved safety and overall operational efficiency.
