Pressure Relief | STAR Type Tensile Rupture Disk
Low rupture height and high performance.
The STAR type is a high-performance tensile rupture disk with a low burst height, robust design, and a unique star-shaped opening pattern in a three-layer structure. The STAR type is suitable for low to high pressure and accommodates a wide range of processes. It meets the necessary processes in the oil and gas, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, and its unique structure provides excellent performance and durability even in harsh operating environments where other types of rupture disks may burst prematurely. The STAR type has a long lifespan, minimizing the costs associated with replacements and downtime. 【Benefits of Use】 ★ Robust, low burst height design – Ensures excellent performance and long lifespan even under pressure cycling or vacuum conditions. ★ Excellent corrosion resistance and high cost-effectiveness – The rupture layer, which plays a critical role, does not come into contact with the process media, allowing for the use of various materials without affecting performance, leading to overall cost reduction. ★ Easy installation and reduced holder costs due to the unique star-shaped structure and low burst height design. ★ Minimal risk of fragment dispersion even under high burst pressure.
basic information
"High cost-effectiveness and robust rupture disk" The STAR type features a three-layer structure, consisting of an upper bursting layer, a sealing membrane layer, and a vacuum support layer facing the process. The bursting layer, which plays a crucial role, does not require special materials as it does not come into contact with the process media. It is suitable for the most corrosive operating conditions, making it highly cost-effective. The sealing membrane layer is highly airtight, reducing the risk of process media loss during normal operation. The use of metal seals ensures long-term durability and high sustained performance, even when handling highly aggressive process media during operation. The integrated vacuum support layer guarantees advanced vacuum resistance. The material selection for the rupture disk can be fully customized to match process conditions and desired budget.

YouTube video about rupture discs for FPSO use.
A new Japanese video has been released on REMBE's YouTube channel. This video introduces the features of rupture discs for FPSOs. Pressure relief devices play a crucial role in the production stages of oil and gas. Rupture discs are widely used in many FPSO applications due to their ability to open quickly across the entire cross-section, precise and reliable burst control, and compatibility with other pressure relief products such as safety valves. REMBE specializes in designing and manufacturing customized rupture discs for special applications like FPSOs. This not only alleviates traditional concerns in the industry but also contributes to improved safety and overall operational efficiency. REMBE is the professional that protects FPSOs! https://www.rembe.jp/applications/pressure-relief-for/fpso/
