Pressure Relief | ZW Type Bidirectional Rupture Disk
2-in-1 Rapture Disk
The two-direction rupture disk type ZW opens in one direction in the case of specified excess pressure and in the other direction in the case of vacuum. It is primarily used in storage tanks for processes involving gases or liquids. The rupture disk allows for an operating pressure ratio of 80% (*) in the excess pressure direction and 70% (*) in the vacuum direction. The ZW type can be equipped with an optional burst signal device that includes a proximity sensor. When the rupture disk bursts in one of the two directions, it sends a burst signal to the process control system connected to the SNR. By combining the function principle of the buckling pin inverted rupture disk type KUB and the three-layer tensile rupture disk type ODV, one rupture disk can respond to two different pressure values. * This varies depending on each application.
