▶ Mechanism Devices requiring protection are equipped with pressure detectors, infrared detectors, or both. These detect explosions and send signals to the knife gate valve. Depending on the size, one or more gas generators are activated, and the pressure generated closes the slide valve. The closure of the slider blade effectively prevents the propagation of flames and pressure waves. Additionally, it closes at the fastest speed, allowing for installation at very close distances. During normal operation, the slide valve can be opened and closed using pneumatic pressure. ▶ Dimensions and Application Area The REDEX type slide valve corresponds to pipe sizes DN80 to DN150, while the RSV type slide valve corresponds to pipe sizes DN50 to DN400.
