Product Information | Explosion Isolation Quench Valve QV II & QV III
Space-saving bidirectional isolation quench valve
The Quench Valve QV II and QV III are explosion isolation devices installed in pipelines to contain explosions at designated points within the equipment. The quench valves are connected to a controller (EXKOP Express or EXKOP TriCon)*. When an explosion occurs, the controller receives a trigger signal (for example, from a Q-Rohr or rupture disc signal device, pressure switch, spark detector, etc.) and activates the connected quench valve, closing it within a few milliseconds. This prevents the propagation of the explosion. After activation, it can be returned to a reusable state simply by pressing a button. ▶ Additional features: ▸ Spark arrestor (e.g., between the mill and product filter) ▸ Overpressure limiter (e.g., between silo trailer and silo) * For more detailed information about the controller, please refer to the product information of related products.
